A haunting film set in the mountains of New South Wales......A group of four fishing enthusiasts take their annual trip to the remote lakes. Leaving behind their small town everyday work, lives and families, they enjoy sleeping under the stars eating by a camp fire with no interruptions from the outside world. Their idyll is interrupted, however, when the body of a dead aboriginal woman is found floating in the river. This shocking discovery forces them to decide what to do for the best..and making a decision not to alert the authorities until their trip is over, their insensitiveness suddenly confronts them from every angle on their return. Mistrust, gender and racial issues are all brought to the fore as their families and wider communities problems are amplified in the wake of the fishermen's ineptitude.
A very moody film with the stunning New South Wales scenery as backdrop, it shows how uneasy relationships within families and local community can be sent disturbingly off kilter with lack of understanding.
